THE EVOLUTION OF VINYASA
A Series of Workshops exploring the
Deepening of Understanding for Vinyasa Flow Yoga
for students (all levels except absolute beginners) and teachers
SATURDAY 10-12.30 pm euros 45,-
SWEET & STEADY STANDING POSTURE FLOW:
Precise Alignment for Vinyasa
In the Vinyasa Flow Practice, the aim should be to work slowly and precisely within the alignment of the asana, that then allows the prana vidya or whole energy of the body & spirit to become ultimately alive. Starting with creative Surya Namaskar sequences, you will experience working sweetly yet very precisely into a flow of standing and balancing asanas, slowly incorporating pranayama, holding the asanas to generate esoteric alignment and in turn cultivating a steady, joyful connection.
SATURDAY 2 - 4.30PM: euros 45,-
FREEDOM FLOW FOR THE LOWER 3 CHAKRAS:
Opening Hamstrings & Hips and Core Integration
How to open the whole of the lower body: hamstrings and hips, then in turn how to cultivate the 4 layers of core strength into the vinyasa practice - to allow the energy around the lower 3 chakras to become balanced, strong and rooted. This flow workshop will gently nurture the legs into a place of warmth & space through deep Lunges, using the wall for Hanumanasana and Vashistasana variations, then deep hip openers through standing poses, arm balances and learning to utilise the core effectively every time you take to the mat.
SUNDAY 10-12.30PM euros 45,-
CREATIVE MUDRASANA OF THE VINYASA PRACTICE:
for Advancing Personal Practice & Teaching Ideas
The Mudrasana of a class is where we learn to bind together the ‘physic union’ of the vinyasa practice by understanding all the various elements or layers you experience when vinyasa flow yoga is transformative, healing and evolutionary as a form of modern yoga. You’ll have a chance to choose music for todays class (Vinyasa FM), learn how to incorporate yoga philosophy in a modern and down-to-earth manner, think more deeply about the krama (intelligent sequencing) of asana, pranayama, mudra, kriya and bandha, try fantastic hands-on assists, and then how to do all this with a humour and sensitivity that deepens your practice, and opens up new ideas for teaching this form intricately.
Whole weekend Euros 130.
