Iyengar Class

We will focus on 2-3 common links between 4 standing poses and practice those poses first individually to integrate these links. Then we will put them together in a dynamic sequence that can be practiced at home and with minimal props.
Iyengar Yoga for the knees
every Friday 11:45 - 12:15
In this class we will learn some simple techniques to align and work with our lower limbs for optimal safety in our yoga practice. For this class a belt will be helpful. If you don’t have a yoga strap, you can use a dog leash, a belt, a tie or even a pair of yoga tights instead.
About Jane:
I am a physiotherapist and have been practicing yoga since ~2000, and did my first teacher training in 2004. I have been certified to teach Hatha Yoga since 2005. More recently, I did Patricia Walden’s Iyengar Teacher Training. I assisted Patricia for 2 years and was certified to teach Iyengar Yoga in 2019.
As a physiotherapist, I love the precision of Iyengar’s method and the systematic way of learning the asanas. I love chanting and reading the Yoga Sutras which offer us a pragmatic and non-dogmatic way to live skillfully.
